Videojet Introduces the 8530/Wolke m620 touch thermal inkjet printers for reliable high-resolution coding with simple operation

New thermal inkjet solutions help manufacturers improve code quality, simplify operation, and keep production lines running efficiently

CHICAGO, Ill. – October 19, 2026 — Videojet Technologies, a global leader in marking and coding solutions, has launched the Videojet® 8530 and Wolke m620® touch thermal inkjet (TIJ) printers, designed to help manufacturers produce crisp, high-resolution codes at production line speeds. Supporting item and case-level packaging applications, these printers deliver reliable codes on boxes, cartons, foil, labels, and other packaging materials across industries including pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food, beverage, and electronics.

The Videojet 8530 and Wolke m620 touch printers produce clear, fast-drying 2D codes including QR and DataMatrix codes, lot numbers, expiration dates, logos, and other variable data. With print resolutions up to 600 x 600 dpi, the printers can achieve consistent code quality and readability across a broad range of applications.

“Manufacturers need coding technology that keeps pace with production while helping protect product quality, traceability, and operational efficiency,” said Marcy Vanderbei, global product manager for Videojet Technologies. “These new TIJ printers are designed to simplify high-resolution coding with systems that are easier to integrate, easier to operate, and easier to rely on, shift after shift.”

The Videojet 8530 and Wolke m620 touch can fit into existing thermal inkjet environments and support standard communication protocols to simplify upgrades and reduce engineering efforts. Their solid-state design with no moving parts helps minimize maintenance, support production uptime and enable clean, no-mess operation.

Operators benefit from the Videojet SIMPLICiTY™ user interface, which includes Code Assurance features designed to reduce coding errors through built-in rules and validation controls. These tools can help improve code accuracy while reducing unnecessary printer interactions. Additionally, the leader/follower configuration offers expanded print capabilities, allowing multiple printheads and controllers to operate as a coordinated system.

For pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, the Wolke m620 touch delivers high-resolution traceability codes, highly readable barcodes, and fast data processing for demanding serialization applications. The Wolke m620 touch validation package is designed to support compliance with GAMP requirements.

Both the Videojet 8530 and Wolke m620 touch printers can leverage Videojet software and digital solutions, including VRS Remote Service, CLARiSUITE® print job management software, and label designtools such as Velicity™ Design and CLARiSOFT®. Together, these solutions help manufacturers improve message accuracy, simplify job management and maintain greater control across coding operations.

Combining high-resolution print quality, reliable operation, intuitive usability, and easy integration, the Videojet 8530 and Wolke m620 touch printers provide manufacturers with dependable thermal inkjet solutions for today’s fast-moving packaging environments.
